I feel good about myself when I am doing what is right for me, when honoring my personal needs, taking care of myself, and loving myself.

Often I feel overwhelmed and overworked, sometimes leaving me with zero energy for anyone else. So, I’ve establishing some routines that help me Love and Nurture myself. I hope these ideas will inspire you to Love and Nurture yourself.

DAILY things I do to Love and Nurture myself.

  • Take good vitamins first thing in the morning.
  • Read positive affirmations morning and evening.
  • Read something to help my mind expand and keep me positive.
  • Exercise. I usually walk my dog, stretch, do sit-ups, and more if I can squeeze it in.
  • Eat as healthy as I can.
  • Take a break when I feel I need one.
  • End the day with what I’m thankful for and compliment myself on my behavior or achievement for the day.  This allows me to appreciate my life and to accept my faults as part of who I am.  It also helps me realize where I may want to make changes.

WEEKLY things I do to Love and Nurture myself.

  • Go for a long walk in the woods or ride my bike.
  • Find something inspiring to look at or do. I like art, nature, or a movie.
  • Meet with a friend or friends I haven’t seen in a while.
  • Cook something different or something I love but don’t eat regularly.
  • Treat myself to something sweet and delicious, like good chocolate.
  • Do something great for myself that I’ve been putting off, like a getting a professional haircut or massage.
  • Consult with a life coach or business coach for guidance.

All of the Love and Nurturing I do for myself keep me fulfilled and happy so that I’m capable of helping others in a loving fashion.  When I feel good, I make time to volunteer and help others, I’m a better parent and I make room to receive Love from others in my life.
