Diane Welhouse, Founder of Welhouse Consulting, helps businesses and individuals unlock their full potential by providing the clarity they need to win. With over 30 years of experience leading operations for for-profit and non-profit national organizations, Diane understands that success in business and life requires courage, strategy, and a trusted partner. Now, she shares her expertise to empower others—helping them develop the strategy and confidence they need to achieve their goals and win.
I am deeply passionate about empowering others to achieve their best. I know no one enters the winner’s circle alone. I have proven abilities in operations and leadership. Combining my personal experience in being professionally coached with my knowledge of business operations, I wanted to make a difference in helping small businesses and people win.
Regardless of what you do, you must be a student of your game. Like professional athletes, people need to understand their game’s equipment, playing field, and techniques to be fully informed and play at an elite level. Therefore, I constantly read, take classes, observe, and listen to enhance my knowledge and skills to provide value to my clients.
Learn to talk about me. I grew up learning not to brag or boast and to let your results speak for themselves. But there is a difference between bragging and selling yourself. As an entrepreneur, I have had to learn to promote myself and my business in an interesting, persuasive, and ‘uniquely me’ way to make me memorable to the people I meet. Starting over, I would develop multiple talking points about myself, my experience, knowledge, and results to tap into appropriately at different engagements. Being memorable and top of mind is key to growing a new business.
Wow, I feel fortunate to have received a lot of great advice throughout my life. Perhaps the most important is having a plan—a personal and business plan—you control your future. Whatever you're doing, know your desired destination, determine the steps to get there, and focus on what needs to happen now. Write your plan down, prioritize, and focus.
Face your fears, live your dreams.
Diane contacted me as she was preparing to launch her new website. We discussed my questions about her brand and decided that a unique location would best suit her style. She didn’t want a white, airy look like many of the websites she had seen. Instead, she wanted something colorful and bold!
I happen to know someone who works at BSI (Building Services Inc.). They have a wonderful showroom that showcases their work in creating spaces for businesses. We visited the space and felt that it was the perfect fit.
One of the many things I loved about working with Diane was how we collaborated. She sent me photos of outfits in advance, so I could give her feedback on what I thought would work best. In the end, she brought a large selection of outfits to choose from, which was perfect since we had a colorful shoot location and wanted to ensure that the colors would complement each other.
